1525 North American Street
Philadelphia, PA
Six Acre’s inaugural urban infill development project located at the intersection of Philadelphia’s Olde Kensington & Fishtown neighborhoods. The project is an architecturally significant, design-forward, mixed-use apartment building comprised of 110 residential units, six (6) artist studios, one (1) ground-floor retail space, and 17 parking spaces. The project spans 103K square feet across six stories, with an additional below-grade component running the full footprint of the building.
The building has a robust amenity offering for only 110 units, including a co-working lounge with private breakout rooms, a communal kitchen, sunken living room with a curated book selection, gym, yoga room, maker space for creatives, a rooftop garden, bike storage, and through a partnership with Tulu, a vending machine for household goods and appliances (1525 North American is the first building in Philadelphia that has a “Tulu-room”).Each of the ground-floor, bi-level (duplexed into the below-grade space) artist studios, occupied by a diverse mix of creative tenants and artists, feature rolling, operable garage doors that allow tenants to engage with the community.
As a result of the project’s extremely unique architecture, design, and programming (see further below), the project has been featured in many publications including the Wall Street Journal, Philadelphia Magazine, and the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The project was awarded“ Greater Philadelphia’s Deal of the Year” in the multifamily category by CoStar and was nominated “Deal of the Year” in the multifamily category by the Philadelphia Business Journal.
