1525 North American Street is an under-construction mixed-use building located at the intersection of Philadelphia’s vibrant Fish town and Olde Kensington neighborhoods. At the time of Six Acre’s acquisition in the Fall of 2020, the property consisted of a 21K SF, vacant corner lot site. The site comprises almost an entire city block with over 300’ of frontage on North American Street, a double-wide thoroughfare with an abundance of light and air.
Through the American Street Improvement Project, American Street is currently undergoing a $26.4mm streetscape project which will introduce bike lanes, streetlights, and public plazas. Architecturally, the project is a collaboration between Philadelphia-based architect of record Harman Deutsch Ohler, and NYC-based design architect, Leong Leong. Plans call for an 105K SF, 6-story development comprised of 110 apartments, at-grade retail, and six artist live/work studios. This flagship project for Six Acre is scheduled to be completed by 2022
